MISSED THE VIDEOGAMES ESSAY??
If you missed the videogames essay, have a go at it and give it in to your teacher so you can get some feedback.
The title was ‘Compare the ways in which two videogames represent competition and conflict’.
To answer this you need to consider:
- Structure of the game
- Characters
- Visual features including mise en scene and camerawork
- Narrative, backstory, cut scenes, titles, etc
- Graphics and text
- Sound
You need detailed references to the two games and the gameplay experience and to compare each element as you go along.
You should use technical terms from the list below to support your points.
The essay should take you an hour.
You choose your two games, but bear in mind that ‘filmic’ games like GTA tend to work very well for analysis as there is a lot to be said, whereas sports games like Pro-Evo are often hard to write about
